Barnet’s award winning Summer Soulstice festival returned to Old Elizabethans’ Memorial Fields on Saturday 25th June 2022. After two covid years on Zoom, Summer Soulstice was back live, welcoming a sell-out crowd of 5,000 to enjoy 12 hours of soulful family fun! Top performers gave thrilling performances on the main stage and elite DJs also provided a great range of soul and jazz-funk numbers in the Club and Connoisseurs’ tents. Summer Soulstice is a great social and family event and, as always, kids loved the play zone, free turns on the now familiar inflatables, and the challenge of the climbing wall.
Summer Soulstice has been supporting Cherry Lodge Cancer Care since the very first festival in 2007, donating a total well in excess of £400,000 to help fund CL’s much needed information and support services for people affected by cancer. Cherry Lodge is very grateful to Summer Soulstice for this ongoing support. CL volunteers, in their blue shirts, were very evident on the day, helping at the gate, with car park entry and at the CL stall (which made a record £1,623). Tina, CL’s fundraising and events coordinator, sends her thanks and congratulations to everyone who helped.
