The inaugural Soulstice Golf Day took place at The Shire, St Albans Road, Barnet on Monday 17th September 2018. This new event – the brainchild of Maggie and Gilo – was a great success, raising a substantial sum for the Saving Soulstice fund and Cherry Lodge Cancer Care.
The weather could not have been better, golfers of all abilities were able to play on the only UK course designed by Seve Ballesteros, and everyone who attended had a great day out, including drinks at the 19th hole, a two-course banquet, a surprise stand-up performance from comedian Ricky Grover, and great music until late from Summer Soulstice DJs.
Seventeen teams competed for the Andy Weekes Memorial Trophy, with victory going to Team Artel after a play off against Team Hanning, a team of all stars including footballers Razor Ruddock and Des Walker, plus world boxing champion Ben Jones.
