Bupa counselling and emotional well-being support
Macmillan Cancer Care and Bupa are working in partnership to support people who are struggling with the emotional impacts of cancer. They are offering up to four free one-to-one counselling sessions, via phone or video call, to anyone with cancer. The Nightingale Cancer Support Centre, based in Enfield, offers a range of Information and Support services.
Future Dreams (breast cancer support charity)
Based near London’s King’s Cross station, Future Dreams offers a wide range of in-person and online services providing practical, emotional and psychological support for those diagnosed with breast cancer.
Penny Brohn UK
Penny Brohn UK offers everybody with cancer a choice of personalised, holistic care, helping people feel better in mind, body and spirit. Support is available in-person at the Penny Brohn Centre near Bristol and also online, including exercise classes, nutrition advice, psychological support and relaxations.
Healthwise Cancer Rehabilitation Programme
Barnet Healthwise is offering adults who have received a cancer diagnosis within the last 5 years a 12-session, guided physical activity plan in local gyms or as a fitness class. Suitable before, during and after treatment. GP referral is needed. Leaflets are available at Cherry Lodge.
Move4You
Tottenham Hotspur Foundation is again offering its Move4You programme to adults who have had a cancer diagnosis in the last five years. The programme consists of 12 sessions of guided physical activity, delivered one to one or as a group. Face-to-face sessions are currently being held at Southbury Leisure Centre, Enfield or Tottenham Community Sports Centre, Haringey. Access via Zoom is also offered. Referrals are available via the nurses at CL, or your clinical nurse specialist, oncologist or GP.
