Cherry Lodge sends a big thank you to our largest ever team of 16 runners who ran for us in the 2015 Vitality British 10k London Run on Sunday 12th July. Sadly, on the day, two of the 18 people who had signed up were unable to take part, but we thank them nonetheless. This is a wonderful fun event when many thousands of people run through the streets of London, past some of the capital’s most iconic sites, to raise money for their chosen charities.
There is still time to sponsor our runners (online sponsorship pages stay open for a month after an event). Clicking on the following names in blue will take you straight to the JustGiving pages of: George Andreas (with Daniel Tate, ‘Spuddy’); Gareth Archer; Chris McGorman; Victoria Pepe-Whiting; Samantha Selby; Vishad Shah; Max Sweiry; Susan Walter. To sponsor Asheem Patel, Ashish Patel or Daven Patel, please contact them directly or contact Tina at Cherry Lodge. Asheem Patel was our fastest runner, completing the course in 58 minutes 52 seconds, with many of the others coming in just over the hour mark.
Running as a team to raise money for us were members of the Yonel family, who have a close personal link to Cherry Lodge, which has supported Tim Yonel over the past few years. Click on Cherry Aid to access the Virgin Money Giving page of: Abisola Asuni; Charlotte Dunn; Ioanna Tsigris; Imre Yonel; Zehra Yonel. A check on 17th August of the online fundraising total for this even showed that our runners had raised more than £7,500. The final figure, including offline sponsorship, will be even higher.
Thank you again to everyone who took part – and also to everyone who has sponsored them!
