Battle of Barnet walking tour

This charity walk has been organised by Barnet Mayor’s Appeal in support of Cherry Lodge Cancer Care and Homestart. It will be led by Paul Baker, a City of London guide specializing in tours in the Borough of Barnet.

You’ll hear about the background to this major battle in 1471 during the Wars of the Roses, how and why it took place, who were the main participants, how the battle developed, and how the weather played a huge part in the outcome of one of the most important battles in English history. You’ll also hear about the three kings of England who came to spend the day in Barnet.

It’s a fun walk around the battlefield and there will be some audience participation. The walk lasts two hours and costs £10 (£5 for under 12s).
