The Easter Flower Arranging Workshop, held on Thursday 21st March 2024 at Barnet Grange Care Home (a new venue for CL), was very much enjoyed by a group of flower-loving ladies looking to develop their flower arranging skills. It was also a good opportunity for members of Cherry Lodge Cancer Care and their guests to enjoy the company of others while supporting our charity.
This very popular event, which sold out in advance, was led by professional florist Iris, a long-time supporter of Cherry Lodge. She is a gifted speaker, always happy to share her love and deep knowledge of flowers and how to display them to good effect. The workshop began with attendees watching and listening intently while Iris assembled two spectacular large floral arrangements (see photos). It was then the turn of everyone else to produce a small arrangement of their own, following Iris’s example and with her help at hand.
Afterwards tea was served with a good choice of cakes. To raise funds for CL services, a raffle was held, giving lucky winners the chance to choose from prizes that included the two beautiful large floral arrangements produced by Iris during the workshop.
