Cherry Lodge Cancer Care sends a big thank you to Krimo and Paul of The Coffee Bean in Barnet’s The Spires, for once again putting on a fabulous Christmas Raffle to raise money for us. This year’s raffle, which raised a very welcome £431, was drawn on Saturday 21st December 2019 by Sarah Armitage, Vice Chair of CL’s trustees. This money will help Cherry Lodge continue to provide our free information and support services to people affected by cancer.
This year’s main prize – a most impressive festive hamper worth £150 – was won by Phil. Among its very appetising contents were bottles of wine, a Christmas cake and a Christmas pudding, and a great selection of chocolates, biscuits and snacks (see photo, below). The second prize – a bottle of cognac – was won by Mary. The third prize – a £20 Coffee Bean voucher – was won by a lady in the cafe.
The draw was a jolly occasion and everyone present raised a cheer for the Coffee Bean! Throughout the year, this local cafe and coffeehouse is a great place to meet friends and enjoy excellent food, beverages and service
