Everything was truly ‘in the pink’ at Cherry Lodge’s Pink Tombola held at The Spires Shopping Centre, Barnet on Saturday 17th October 2015.
This is an annual event – put on each each October to mark Breast Cancer Awareness month – for which every item on the stall has to be pink, whether it be a hat, sunglasses, sweets, wine, bubble bath or anything else!
With more hues, shades and nuances of the colour pink than anybody could have imagined, the hundreds of items on offer looked spectacular – but all had gone within just 3 1/2 hours, making a thumping £321.71 for Cherry Lodge.
Some of the youngsters were especially thrilled with their very colourful (pink) rucksacks and, just in case there might have been any trembling lower lips, there were some delicious (yes, you have guessed it, pink) cupcakes to make up for any disappointment.
Thank you to all who responded to the requests for pink donations and to everyone who helped make this event so very successful. Thank you also to Theresa Villiers, MP for Chipping Barnet and a Patron of Cherry Lodge, for coming to support us on the day (see last photo, below).
