The keenly anticipated Cherry Lodge Cancer Care 2024 Christmas Fair took place on Saturday 30th November. The venue – a new one for this popular event – was Wesley Hall, in Stapylton Road, High Barnet. A banner outside the Cherry Lodge centre, sponsored by Kütchenhaus Cockfosters, Colossians Cleaning Services, and Atherton York helped publicise the event. So too did our very friendly Christmas Elf, accompanied by Renie, who greeted shoppers in The Spires.
On entry, people were given a free raffle ticket, with more tickets on sale at £1 each. The prize was a very tempting Chistmas hamper, generously donated by Anna Savvides. The Fair opened at 11am to the cheerful sound of carol singing by pupils from Queenswell School. Colourful tables around the hall displayed a very good range of Christmassy and other attractive items for sale. Thank you to all the stallholders for making this year’s CL Christmas Fair an excellent place to buy Christmas decorations, beautiful crafted items, jewellery, artworks, and products for pampering yourself or to give as presents. While adults were shopping, children had great fun at the activity table. As always, our Festive Cafe, with plenty of seating, sold delicious home-made soups, cakes and mince pies.
Seasonal warm thanks are sent to Tina and her hardworking team of volunteers for putting on this very successful event, raising money to help keep Cherry Lodge Cancer Care’s many services completely free of charge.
