The Christmas Market held in aid of Cherry Lodge Cancer Care at Hadley Wood Golf Club on Thursday 21st November 2024 was very popular and successful. Golf club members and other supporters of Cherry Lodge took up this excellent opportunity to get ahead with their Christmas shopping while also helping fund Cherry Lodge’s many information and support services for local people affected by cancer.
Visitors to the market were delighted to discover that the £5 entrance charge entitled them to a free raffle ticket, giving them a chance to win one of the very tempting and beautifully displayed prizes (see photo 2 below). They then had over 20 stalls to browse for a wide range of attractive items, including Christmas novelties, homeware, ornaments, clothing, jewellery, books and plants. The Cherry Lodge stall, manned by Veronica, Sandra and Annys did extremely well, raising £248.
Thank you to our volunteers and to Tina who worked with the golf club social committee, led by Simmi Ciccione, to make this event such a great success.
