Thank you from Cherry Lodge Cancer Care to everyone who contributed to the success of the Mayor of Barnet’s fundraisng Bridge Evening, held on Thursday 13th February 2020.
This event was kindly sponsored by Joan Edwards as part of the 2019-20 Barnet Mayor’s Appeal, supporting Cherry Lodge Cancer Care and Homestart Barnet. It was held under the auspices of The Queen of Hearts Bridge Club (Directors Sue Simon and Allan Lipton) at Wingate & Finchley Football Club, Summers Lane.
An evening of friendly, social, mainly duplicate bridge (with the advance option to bring a four and play rubber) proved very popular – as can be seen from the photographs. Refreshments, including kosher and vegetarian dishes, were included in the ticket price and gave people an opportunity to take a break from card playing and socialise more generally.
