The Pamper Day held on Sunday 30th June 2019 was a new – and very successful – fundraising initiative for Cherry Lodge Cancer Care. It was the idea of a group of supporters, who got together to offer their complementary therapy and beauty therapy skills to raise money for us. Therapies were charged at £10 each – and the proceeds will help fund Cherry Lodge’s many services for people affected by cancer.
There were 42 appointments available – and all were booked ahead of the day. As well as Reiki from Susan (our shop manager) and reflexology from Andi (a regular Cherry Loge therapist), there were mini makeovers from Nicola and facial and head and neck massages from Emma. Manicures, pedicures and blow drys were given by Sian, Zeinab and Shalu. Customer feedback was excellent – thank you very much indeed to all our pamperers.
Ladies also had a chance to relax and chat while enjoying tea, cakes and biscuits served by Tina. Donations were made for refreshments and there was also a raffle, bringing proceeds for the day to around £500. There was a very happy atmosphere and people are already looking forward to future pampering afternoons at Cherry Lodge.
