Colin Moore - Trustee
When my wife died of cancer the shock was considerable and I felt unable to cope. Because I was semi-retired my immediate reaction was to do some voluntary work- preferably in the cancer field - but it was suggested that I wait a year or so in order to find the right work and make sure that I was suitable for voluntary work. Eventually Cherry Lodge appeared on the scene. Having worked in Finance and been a sporting fanatic for 50 years, I was lucky to have retained many great friends all of whom offered good advice at the right time. There was a financialniche within Cherry Lodge that I felt able to fulfil and those cricket spinning fingers came in useful when counting the wonderful donations received. The satisfaction I feel at the degree of support and donated income achieved from the many friends of Cherry Lodge is as intense to me as winning a Test Match. Long may it continue
