Sporting Events 2009
Each year we receive fantastic support from these, such as London marathon; Sponsored Swim; London 10K; Adidas Women’s 5K; Tandem Sky dives, etc. In 2010 Cherry Lodge has a place in the London Marathon. If a marathon is something you want to do please contact me and we will enter you into our ballot. If you have applied through the official system and are waiting to hear about acceptance, please consider Cherry Lodge as your chosen charity, remembering that some companies will match your sponsorship £ for £.
A marathon too far? We have guaranteed places for London 10K next July (minimum sponsorship £200 please). Interested in swimming? The fabulous QE Boys’ school pool will again host our annual swim in 2010, suitable for all abilities and ages. Please let Theresa know.

For more exotic events, such as climbing Kilimanjaro, cycling in Peru and many others, visit www.charitychallenge.co.uk, nominate Cherry Lodge and start training!
Simon Barnett raised £2,000 participating in 30°C heat and belting winds completing Ironman Lanzarotte – 2.4 mile swim; 112 mile cycle; 26.2 mile run. Congratulations Simon, you must be so fit.
In May this year Jason Thayne-Jeffery took part in the “Perambulation of Dartmoor”, running 45 miles in 15 hours. The route takes in many aspects of “wild Dartmoor”: tors, streams, bogs and fens. An extreme terrain with unpredictable weather, making orientation extremely difficult. Not content with this challenge, Jason intends to climb Mont Blanc and raise even more for Cherry Lodge. Sorry Jason, I have that in writing! Huge thanks, again, to all you energetic daredevils.
